New User Interface
Legrand CRM 5.0
We've given Legrand CRM a facelift!

Based on the feedback of our users and partners, we've revamped the Legrand CRM User Interface to give it a fresh clean appearance, improve usability and make better use of today's larger screens and widescreen notebooks. At the same time, existing users will feel right at home with no need to relearn menus and commands.



New Module - Snapshot

Legrand 5.0 Snapshot The new Snapshot Module shows at a glance current:
  • Calendar Events
  • Tasks
  • Sales Opportunities
  • Customer Service Items
  • Marketing Campaigns
as well as recently added companies and contacts. You can turn the display of items on and off, as well display those relating just to you, the entire company, or in Corp Edition those of your team.

New Module - Web Capture.

Do you have a website? How do you handle leads and inquiries from it?

The new Web Inquiry Module takes the results from simple-to-install forms on your website and automatically inserts them into your Legrand CRM database. There's no need for copying or further rekeying of data. Read more about the Web Capture Module here.

Additional data fields in all modules.

The new screen layout allows the addition of large number of extra datafields in all modules. You can also now disable any field by setting the display name to a "."

Integration with Google Maps(TM)

Ever needed to look up an address on a map or street directory?

Even had to copy and paste an address from Outlook or contact manager into an website to find out the location of a meeting?

Legrand CRM 5.0 now integrates with Google Maps.

This means with a single click, you can display a contact's company addresss in your web browser. Zoom out for area detail, get directions or even view a satellite image of the location.

Major Enhancements to Calendar Module.

The Legrand CRM Calendar Module has received the largest number of new features. Many of them are aimed at improving the flexibility and scheduling abilities for groups of staff working together as a team. Some of these new features include:

  • All day events


  • Plan and manage resource usage


  • Staff groups and event management


  • Ability to assign multiple staff to events


  • Staff event conflict checking


  • Hotkeys for number of days displayed


  • Hovering over an event will display details

In addition to these, we've given the Calendar Module a complete overhaul of screen layout and colour scheme.

Major Enhancements in Document Management.

There's also been a significant update of document management in Legrand CRM 5.0

It's now possible to assign each document up to three customizable keywords to help with later retrieval. Not only can you search on these, but on creation date, filename and other conditions.

Major Enhancements to Sales Opportunities

We've expanded the Sales Opportunity Module to cater to larger organizations with multiple sales pipelines or sales divisions and more complex sales processes.
  • Multiple Sales Processes
    You can now define an unlimited number of customizable sales processes for your organisation. Many companies have a range of sales cycles for different products and services and Legrand CRM 5.0 is now the perfect fit for them.


  • Extra participants and influencers
    In many cases, complex sales may involve people and companies other than your customers. Examples of these can be contractors, consultants or external suppliers. We also now allow the role of each person involved in the sale be to defined and commented on. For example, an external consultant may have written a less than positive report on your proposal and all your staff involved in the sale need to be aware of this.


  • Additional Fields
    There's now 20 additional data fields for each sales opportunity.
All these changes result in a Sales Opportunity system the can seamlessly allow several staff to work on closing a sale - all with the total picture of what's going on at their fingertips.

Marketing and Campaigns

We've add some extra capabilities in the Marketing Module to allow the to record the customizable status of campaign targets and respondent. You can also now quickly access respondents who haven't responded to campaigns to allow for further follow up.

Accounting Link

Previous versions of Legrand CRM required the purchase of an additional unlock key to activate the Accounting Link for access to external accounting systems such as QuickBooks of MYOB.

Accounting Link is now bundled with Legrand 5.0 Pro and Corp Editions.

Use of the Customer Service and Item Tracking continue to require an optional unlock key.

Legrand CRM 5.0 is the only small customer management system that includes standard support forthe majority of accounting systems used by small businesses.

And yes - there's more!

There are numerous further improvements and additions in Legrand CRM 5.0. Some of these include:
  • NEW - Custom Search Builder
    You can easily create and save custom searches. These searches can be based on an unlimited number of fields and once you've spent the time getting the search you need, it can be saved for quick and easy use. Custom searches can be created in the Companies, Contacts, Sales Opportunities and Marketing Modules.


  • NEW - Automatic Updates
    Legrand CRM 5.0 will download the latest update in the background and offer to install it when you exit the program. This feature can turned off if needed.


  • ACT! by Sage and GoldMine to Legrand CRM 5.0 Import
    Comprehensive data import utilities form part of the Legrand CRM 5.0 product suite and will be rolled out shortly. These utilities don't just import company and contact, but complete histories and other records as well.
Additional Features in Legrand 5.0 Corp Edition

New features found in Legrand CRM 5.0 Corp Edition not in 5.0 Pro Edition include:
  • User Roles makes it easier to manage the User Permissions of large number of user accounts

  • Database Admin Tool makes it easier to create, backup and restore databases and makes it a lot easier to set up a master database for replication and create replicated copies on laptops or remote sites
